Description
This knife was inspired by a shape found on the lintel of a house in the Basque village of Irissarry. Its maker, Francisco de Aguerre, was a barber-cutter in 1695.
The yatagan-shaped blade echoes that of Spanish navajas (traditional folding knives). Handle in Basque ram’s horn. 12C27 stainless steel blade. Guillochage on blade.
Engraving of the Basque cross (Lauburu) on the blade. Spring engraved with the date 1695.
