Description

This folding knife dating from 1722 is engraved on the lintel of a house in Cambo-Les-Bains. Its shape echoes that of the traditional Basque discoid stele.

Flat notch” system. Handle in Basque ewe’s horn. Stainless Damascus steel blade, Damasteel rosebud pattern. Guillochage on blade with 7 “E” representing the 7 Basque provinces and Euskal Herria (Basque Country).

Only 20 numbered copies of this model were produced for the 20th anniversary of the Couteau Basque workshop. The one pictured here bears the number 18 engraved in the metal.
