Shape inspired by the traditional knives of the Basque shepherds of the Middle Ages. The “sage leaf” blade is one of the oldest shapes in the Pyrenees.
The system, dating from the 12th century, is known as the “two-nail” system, with a pin to allow the blade to turn and a stop to stop it in the open position.
Unhardened XC75 carbon steel blade. Guillochage on the upper part of the blade representing the 7 “S” of the seven Basque provinces. Handle of bocote wood (South America).
