Description
This knife was inspired by a shape found on the lintel of a house in the village of Irissarry, in the Basque Country. Its maker, Francisco de Aguerre, was a barber and cutler in 1695.
The yatagan-shaped blade is reminiscent of Spanish penknives. Basque sheep horn handle. Stainless steel blade 12C27 engraved with the Basque cross. Guillochage on the blade.
Quay engraved with a small Basque cross and the date 1695.
