Description

A Basque smuggler’s knife, the “Intzola” folding knife takes its name from this ancient Roman road, which starts at Chapelle d’Olhette. A smuggling route, but also an escape route for refugees during the Spanish Civil War, this road was the salvation of men and women fleeing German repression during the Second World War.

This Basque pocket knife features a traditional “two-nail” system. Blade shape pointing downwards in unhardened XC75 carbon steel.

The handle is made of pistachio wood, engraved on the top with “Intzola” and the Basque cross (Lauburu).
