This knife was inspired by a shape found on the lintel of a house in the Basque village of Irissarry. Its maker, Francisco de Aguerre, was a barber-cutter in 1695. The yatagan-shaped blade echoes that of Spanish navajas (traditional folding knives). Juniper handle.

Description
This knife was inspired by a shape found on the lintel of a house in the Basque village of Irissarry. Its maker, Francisco de Aguerre, was a barber-cutler in 1695. The yatagan-shaped blade echoes that of Spanish navajas (traditional folding knives). Juniper wood handle. 12C27 stainless steel blade. Guillochage on the blade representing 7 “S” for the seven Basque provinces. Engraving of the Basque cross (Lauburu) on the front bolster. Spring engraved with a small Basque cross and the date 1695.
