The Lou Samot kitchen knife was used near stoves and on farms in the Basque country, in the villages of Sames, Guiche, Bidache, Urt and Bardos. Its traditional shape was used to cut vegetables and meat in the Labourd province, where cooking is an art of living.

With this knife, you can prepare garbure, the daily dish of local farmers. By cooking an assortment of vegetables and meats for a long time, garbure is served as a soup or main course.

The handle is made of Basque ewe’s horn.

Its 12c27 stainless steel blade is engraved with 7 “S” representing the seven Basque provinces.
