Folding Basque knife inspired by the shape of the Makila, a traditional Basque stick. Created in our workshop since 2009.
Black buffalo horn tip handle. The black horn pommel features a gold-plated medallion carved with the traditional Basque cross (Lauburu). This medallion was made by the Rodon workshop, one of the oldest Basque jewelry manufacturers.
The handle features Basque motifs from the earliest Makilas of the 19th century to the present day.
Blade in 12c27 stainless steel. Fixed and rotating brass ferrules. The top of the blade is guilloched with seven “E” for Euskal Herri (Basque Country) and its seven provinces.
Dimensions: closed knife length: 125 mm. Knife length open: 220 mm.
